Make Windows look better with Object Desktop

Object DesktopLet’s face it, Windows isn’t that pretty when you really look at it.  It’s not horrible really, but the default install just doesn’t have that “wow” like you wish it would.  Vista might have a little more than XP, but if you don’t have the crazy power to run Aero, then you’re out of luck there too.  Enter Object Desktop, bringing in thousands of possibilities.

Object Desktop is a suite of products by Stardock Software.  Object Desktop is a set of multiple pieces of software, all combining together into a wonderful little package that changes the entire look of any Windows operating system from Windows 2000 to Windows Vista, even Server platforms.

You can literally change everything in Windows using Object Desktop.  Customize icons, menus, sounds, themes, effects.. you can even add functionality with custom made gadgets and usability mods.

Another nice thing about Object Desktop that you can’t get with many other major mods like it is the ability to EASILY remove the software if you don’t like it.  Try that with mods like the Vista Transformation Pack and you’ll see what i’m talking about.

I think the best thing about Object Desktop though is the fact that you not only get the default modifications that Stardock create, but you get literally thousands of user uploaded items as well.  There are a lot of talented people out there, and Stardock knows that, so they let their users upload skins, icons, menu mods, even entire collections called suites to make sure your whole OS matches a single theme.

Here are is a visual example of what Object Desktop can do for your windows installation:

Object Desktop contains 13 purchasable products, which would be about $200 in software if you were to purchase all of the products individually, but you can get the whole package for less than the price of three of them, at just $49.95, so Object Desktop is really a “buy 3, get 10 free” deal if you look at it.

I’ve been using Object Desktop for years, and I haven’t found anything yet that can replace it.  It’s slick, it’s easy to use, there’s new content added daily by it’s users.. it’s just genuinely good software.

Check out Object Desktop today, you won’t be dissapointed.
