Turn off IE7 security warnings in Vista

By admin | Aug 7, 2007

If you’re tired of IE7 always warning you that you’ve lowered your security settings, this guide shows you how to turn the notification off.

Click Start, and go to either Run or the Search Box and type gpedit.msc and hit enter, which will bring up the Group Policy editor.

Browse to Local Computer Policy - Computer Configuration - Administrative Templates - Windows Components - Internet Explorer.  On the right pane, double click Turn off the Security Settings Check feature and set it to Enabled, and hit Ok.
